TODAY'S TREASURE
Hello, my name is Beloved!
OCTOBER 12, 2019
I am so glad you are here with me! I am starting this new, exciting adventure into the blogging world! Let me introduce myself….my name is Angela! First and most importantly I am a beloved daughter to the King, Jesus Christ! And then, I am a wife to an AMAZING man of God, homeschooling SAHM of 8 beautiful children, and grandmother (Mimi) of one.
I know, I know, there are SO MANY mommy bloggers out there already. What do I have to offer anyone? Well, I am a firm believer that EVERYONE has a special gift or niche that they can offer the world! And my goal with this whole endeavor is to reach people for Jesus! And share some other great content along the way. Topics that include, but are not limited to: recipes, cleaning routines and products, homeschool ideas and curriculum, and labor and delivery stories! (My personal fav!)
A little background info: I have one daughter from a previous marriage, and 7 with my husband. And we had those seven within the first 9 years of our marriage. So, believe me when I tell you, my days are FULL! But, my “note to self” is “slow down mama!” It is SO EASY to get trapped in the never-ending cycle of dishes, meals, cleaning, diapers, repeat! Many days I find myself just trying to survive the day! Can I get an Amen?! I would much rather take the time to instead read that book to my two-year-old, or snuggle my one -year-old. This saying has been on my mind a lot lately: The days are long, but the years are NOT!
Time flies, whether we like it or not. Thankfully, I still have time! Our kids are still very young and I am making the choice before it IS too late to declare, ‘Today is the day the Lord has made, and I will REJOICE AND BE GLAD IN IT!’ Psalm 118:24. I, as a mother, am not called to merely survive through the days! I am called to rejoice in it and make the best of every moment. Even if it does include spending a ridiculously long amount of time trying to determine whether what I found in the couch cushion is a chocolate chip or a poop ball. Which, unfortunately, more often than not it’s the latter.
Life is messy, and so is motherhood! But, when I incorporate my faith into all I do, it gets WAY more manageable. So, I pray you will decide to stay the course with me here on this blog as we lift each other up and encourage one another in who God has called us to be, which is beloved of Him! So, it is SO great to meet, my name is beloved!
Until next time,
BE BLESSED!
